About Us

Our story began in 2016, when our founder Russell Avre, an African immigrant came to America to study for his PhD.

It didn’t take long to come to the realization that funding his education with resources from back home was both expensive and unsustainable due to the volatile exchange rates. So, he opted to seek local funding, which was when he was first hit with the concept of personal credit. Back home, access to loans was through collateral and the notion of personal or business credit was alien to him.

To add to this frustration, there were hardly any available resources on the internet that really got to the matter of bridging this financial literacy gap directly. After exhausting every possible opportunity to get a loan, he was forced to drop out of traditional school and enrolled into life’s school of hard knocks.

Many books, seminars, and thousands of coaching dollars later, Russell is now a subject matter expert in the fintech space educating hundreds of immigrants like himself on Money.

Believing there must be a better way, and access to personal and business financing doesn’t have to be confusing and painful, Procelerol was formed. Procelerol is a portmanteau of "Project" and "Acceleration”.

Procerol's mission is to empower minority and historically marginalized groups through accelerated access to financial education and solutions for their business and personal project’s needs.
